Control and Indicating Equipment
Control and indicating equipment are designed to receive and process information from fire detectors reliably and effectively and to display the alarm and fault indications clearly. To communicate the approximate location of a fire, protected premises can be divided into detection zones.
Liquid crystal display technology could be incorporated to give indications such as “FIRE – ZONE 1”. Control and indication equipment is covered by BS 5839, Part 4.
