Flame Detectors

Flame detectors are normally used to monitor areas where flaming fires are common, e.g. in spirit stores or chemical processes: situations where other detection methods are unsuitable. Flame detectors should be sited carefully as a clear line of sight to the protected area is necessary. Flame detectors are not currently covered by a British Standard but may soon be subject to a European standard.
