Aspirating Systems

The aspirating (or air sampling) system, unlike other systems, does not rely on movement of smoke or heat towards the heat detector located within a monitored environment. The sensitivity of the aspirating system can be adjusted to detect, e.g., combustion from overhead cables. Components can be plastic and therefore used in flammable or explosive atmospheres in relative safety. Aspirating systems are often used in electronic data processing areas.
