Radio Alarm systems

Radio alarm systems are advantageous as they are easy to install and do not interfere with the physical fabric of a building. However there are drawbacks such as potential delays to identifying transmission paths (which in wired systems can be identified quickly). Radio signals can also be blocked and detectors would be dependent on individual power supplies (usually batteries). Radio alarm systems are covered by British Standard 5839, Part 1.
